5. So, our use of oil doesn't matter?

I didn't suggest the Keystone XL pipeline should be built. My suggestion was maybe too subtle for you, but it was that these horrible spills are in part the fault of the consumers who buy the oil that is being pumped through the pipelines. Those of us who drive cars and such. Maybe you don't think so. Maybe you think we are not at fault. Maybe you think that only the oil companies are at fault because they would still be producing it and spilling it even if we weren't using it.
