1. Noaa forecast is for 'above average minimum' in Sept; I don't buy that

noaa is forecasting an 'above average minimum' in September.


The thicker ice is kinda 'L' shaped with a lot of thicker ice in the western arctic; my guess is noaa thinks that the thicker ice in the west will help prevent melting in the center and east:


BUT, that being said, compared to last year the thin ice is thinner...


I just don't see the noaa forecast happening
