1. I'm OK with this since we're taking forever to fully transition away from Fossil Fuels.

Well, "upgrades to existing units" and smaller reactors that might displace decommissioned reactors in terms of total US generation.

I'm tentatively OK with this but then I've been inside pretty much every type of power plant, and more than once, and am fairly familiar with the pros and cons of each type and the complexities of generation and transmission and meeting demand.
