5. Philips has a 2-pack of 60-watt equivallent LED bulbs for $5 ($2.50 each)

Philips has spent 100% of their R&D money on LED for the last 7 years while GE was sandbagging and foot dragging.

At 94 lumens per watt it is higher efficiency than CFL (50 to 70 lumens) and about 5x more efficient than incandescent (16 lumens/ watt).
