Protest Rally and Media event on the banks of the Great Lakes to highlight fact that climate change is impacting the health and welfare of Ohio citizens now! The theme will be “Water,” with backdrop of the Toledo water crisis last year. Without action on climate change, people, especially poor people without resources, will face a bleak future with diminishing access to clean, drinkable water. We will also call out Governor Kasich — a presidential candidate — who has repealed Ohio’s Clean Energy Law.

I will be there!

Anyone else sign up for an event with the Sierra Club, or any other group yet?

Last year, when 400,000 people marched in the streets of New York City before the U.N. climate negotiations, President Obama told world leaders "The alarm bells keep ringing. Our citizens keep marching. We cannot pretend we do not hear them. We have to answer the call."

So we're taking to the streets again and turning up the volume with one simultaneous national day of action across the country. Will you join us?

Here are the details:

What: People's Climate Movement National Day of Action

Where: Cities across the nation.

When: October 14, 2015

RSVP: Sign up today to let us know you're coming so you don't miss important updates!

While world leaders negotiate, the temperature keeps rising and we don't have the luxury of accepting anything less than a bold plan for urgent climate action. Last year's People's Climate March brought together front-line communities, environmental justice, labor unions, students, people of faith, immigrants, and indigenous communities to demand action on climate and to show those in power that climate change is everyone's issue.

This year, we will show the strength of our movement across the nation
as we stand together to take back the power from corporate polluters, stop destructive fossil fuels, and build a clean energy future. Join us on October 14.

For jobs, justice, and clean energy,
