A conspiracy-nut friend accepts such uncritically. I occasionally look into it and find mostly dishonesty and/or lunacy, but research needs to be done...

Academic, officially-sponsored or otherwise thought-experiments have certainly been run in this area, but I see no evidence, beyond the well-known localised cloud-seeding techniques (and military chaff, and rocket engine emissions), being employed anywhere, and certainly not using civilian air traffic.

Increased atmospheric dimming, if occuring, could have a variety of sources, especially, I conjecture, increased evapotranspiration (due to the warming)... and there would seem to have been increased volcanic activity recently...

Increased levels of aluminum and barium in water and snow fall, if observable, would certainly be worth looking at in the context of the high levels of all or most types of pollution our industrialised lightly-regulated capitalist and other societies continue to blithely emit.

Thanks again, mackdaddy, and I would recommend to Lodestar to drill further down in the process of doing his or her own research.
