Am I wrong? Can anyone talk me off this cliff? [View all]

I have reached an interesting place tonight. I think it come from election fatigue, trump insanity, media overload, well you get the picture.
Instead of worrying when this will all be over, I came to the conclusion tonight that it doesn't really matter.
We will still have the clinton group angry at the bernie group, the southern democrats voting with republicans, the republicans acting like lemmings following their leader down any dark alley, we still have too many guns on the street, too much crime, too many racist cops, to many hateful americans, too many KKK hate groups and terrorists, to many lobbyists, to many corrupt politicians, and now we have russians infiltrating our election system, all the while making in more difficult for people of color, the poor, the young, and just democrats in general to vote.
I give up on all of this because what I truly care about most is animal welfare, getting rid of factory farms, educating people on the cruel and inhumane things we allow to be done to animals in the name of capitalism, fashion, and food.
I have come to the conclusion that neither party gives a crap. If Donal Trump died tomorrow (I can dream) nothing would ever get better for animals on a large scale. We will continue to abuse them, ignore the harm to our planet that factory farming does.
I will still have to defend my self for being vegan, for caring, and for seriously being sick and tired of having to be silent when asked out to dinner with meat eaters and not dare say a word cause I might offend someone.
