Putin claims he wants peace... but is somehow afraid to detail what kind of peace-deal he wants. [View all]

I guess, this is another reason why Putin cancelled the annual press-conference.

What if one of those russian journalists had asked this question:
"What kind of post-war peace-deal do you envision with the West, NATO, the US and Ukraine? Please give us your vision for Russia's future."

What would Putin be supposed to say?

He cannot say that he would accept a militarized Ukraine full of 21st century western military gear on Russia's border.
He cannot say that.

He cannot say that he would like a politically neutral, isolated, demilitarized Ukraine that is unable to defend itself against foreign invasions. Not while Russia's army is occupying and bombing Ukraine.
He cannot say that.

He cannot say the truth, that he would like for Ukraine to cease to exist as a country and to become another oblast of Russia instead. Because that would destroy the russian propaganda that they invaded Ukraine to protect the oppressed Russians over there.
He cannot say that.
