Just for those who don't know what Russian Media Monitor is, it is done by Julia Davis (look her up, she has been in news channels), who was born in Ukraine and is sanctioned by Russia. So according to Russian propaganda, they said these guys supposedly drove 254 miles (400 km) from Crocus to Ukraine without switching cars or changing license plates. A lot of people thought it was fishy because you wouldn't go up to the place in one car, and then use the same car going back. It would have been too obvious. They probably used multiple cars. But Ukraine also said that most of the border is covered in mines, artillery, soldiers, etc. They wouldn't have just gotten to Ukraine without being noticed. Also, Ukraine has got a lot more to worry about. I know Ukraine has the Crimean Tatars, but they have been dispersed for a long time.

But I think they don't want to admit their failures. This isn't the only time that Russia has had terrorist attacks, many of them came from the Caucasus. There was the Beslan siege in 2004 and the Domodedovo Airport bombings in 2010. Regardless of what you think about the terrorists who did it, all this shows the incompetence of the Russian government. They even said that they dismissed what the US had told them because they had thought the West was intimidating Russia. Remember, back when the Soviet Union trying to invade Afghanistan, the mujahedeen fought against them. So I would not be surprised if Islamic jihadists from Afghanistan took advantage of it. Really, Russia needs to shut up, stop complaining about the West, get out of Ukraine, and deal with their own problems. At some point, this West-blaming for all their failures is getting old. Some of the other attacks I mentioned were under Putin's/Medvedev's watch. So, who is responsible for that?
