5. But pretty sad Russia's GOP toadys managed to stall this as long as they did. Time is not on Ukraine's side....

....We have seen a variation of this before. Russia gets caught up in a seemingly unwinable war, throws masses of its soldiers out as cannon fodder to stall until it gets a few generals and a core of capable field commanders and non-commissioned officers that find a way to succeed under the horrid circumstances and then come back hard and wins. It was called World War Two. Unless Putin is toppled and a new leader withdraws or the West intervenes at least with air power, the power curve on the ground is on Russia's side. Ukraine doesn't have enough population and they must be exhausted.
