As their first priority is protecting their own staff. They are fully cognizant, many from bitter experience, of what Israel is capable of. To wit the hundreds of aid workers, doctors, nurses etc. already murdered.
Every action taken by Israel since Day 1 - especially the malicious destruction of the major aid agency UNRWA, based on bogus or non-existent evidence - was meticulously planned in order to destroy and isolate Palestinians from outside, independent help. Or, as in the case of UNRWA, to destroy Palestinians' ability to help themselves. Removing their refugee status is another goal.
Helplessness, dependence, fear and despair coupled with barbaric, medieval deprivation and suffering is what Israel wants for Palestinians. When they reach the limits of their endurance, they will be shipped off to dirt-poor breakaway Somaliland where they will fade away in poverty and obscurity.
We are witnessing the total destruction of a people. History does repeat and imperialism and its supremacist, classist, racist ideology and hunger for native lands and resources is alive and well. If it were not, none of this would have been tolerated. But it was, which makes all of our leaders in the West complicit.
