...so what you have now is simply America with a charismatic leader. The American way of life has been 'for sale' as I have "..known it forever." It was inevitable that one day a really great salesman would be elected president. I personally can't see things changing that much. Nothing that would surprise me anyway.

I understand the hysteria however. Felt the same thing myself when Ronald Reagan was elected. The only way to escape the fear of global annihilation was to focus on something else and it seemed to work when Gorbachev appeared and that particular phobia was neutralized. And we're all still here...
