As I've mentioned in previous posts, my wife;s best friend has been with the same woman for almost 13 years. We not only WOULD, but HAVE had our son stay with them many times. The 4 adults frequently kid (with nothing but respect and affection) that the partner is my son's "favorite uncle" as she's always taking him fishing or out on a boat and other such things. They hav a close bond that is very touching to see.

When my son, who is 12, found out that GLBT people weren't allowed to marry in Maine (yet), he was as royally PISSED as my wife and I are.

We wouldn't trust our son with a friggin' bible thumping bigot fundie for a damned nanasecond.

PEACE!
