Idaho Production of 'Rent' Under Fire Because Characters are 'Infected with AIDS' and Gay

There is a reason the "Aryan Nations " and "Christian Identity" organizations , (Real live proud Neo-Nazis) found a home in Northern Idaho.
That was years ago, and public opposition, and arrests of its leaders closed the complexes down. But the members didnt go away . Nor did the atmosphere that allowed the group to feel so at home.

I notice on the video, letters to the editor come from Hayden. Hayden is the community that the modern day Nazis found so friendly for a time.

To their great credit, Citizens of Idaho, worried about the state's reputation, took to the streets to affirm Human Rights, in response to the hate group,Christian Identity.

But would they take to the streets to protest strong Organized anti-gay organizations here?

I can only hope, but I will not hold my breath.

I am very afraid that Idaho is far more right winged now , than it was when the Aryan Nations took up residence here.
