(69,370 posts)They seem undeterred by my rude accusation that they're astroturfing for NOM, and persist in the fiction that I've attacked Michele Obama for something (link?) while ignoring white male bigots (????). Anybody who knows me might find this rather amusing.....

What is NOM?
Who / whatever it is, no. I'm simply trying to figure out what you would call such a situation, since you apparently don't like having it called racist or misogynist.
Michelle Obama is simply not a valid target for such "activism." She has diddly-squat to do with it, and the most she can offer one way or another is her own personal opinion - which she has done: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Obama#LGBT_rights
So why go after her? Why advocate heckling her? Why do so while turning a blind eye to white male lawmakers causing the problem? Do you see the problem here? Can you see the problem here? Can it sink through your head where the real, actual "double standard" is? That white men should be immune from liability and criticism for their anti-gay advocacy, legislation, judgements, and execution of laws, but it's fair, admirable, and laudable to give a heap of shit to a black woman with no such authority over the issue despite her stated support for your own position?
You want to avoid this by ludicrously saying I'm claiming all LGBT DU'ers are racists. I wasn't aware you were an elected spokesperson for all of them, but even if you were, I rather doubt most, or even many of DU's LGBT community are of the opinion that it's awesome to attack a black woman who is an ally, while ignoring the white male lawmakers who are the problem. It seems to be a belief that is exclusive to a few posters in particular rather than the group as a whole.
But as I said, I doubt we're likely to crack each other's shells on this.
