(45,319 posts)I have just a few random comments. Heckled? I've been heckled, worst was out of a crowd of thousands some of whom were also hurling objects and it was this 'Die Race Traitor Faggot'. So it takes some actual venom to get my dander up, for myself or anyone else. I figure that's why God gave us security people and quick reflexes along with the other skills that place us there to be, at times, treated with less than full respect. I have a hard time getting worked up about questions poorly timed, perhaps I am too hardened by personal experience with such things. I've heard terrible things shouted at really sweet elderly people. Awful stuff.
I'm not a fan of the tactic. I also have a high tolerance for what is and is not 'too far' .
It is hard to be interrupted when without electronic prompting, it can be annoying to be interrupted with cheers or shouts of 'we love you' even, this can kill the timing and giving speeches and other related activities are difficult and nerve racking tasks. I'd personally not do that to anyone, that's just a fact of my life.
It is also courageous to stand up for rights, and it makes me sad that any sort of theatrics are still needed in the politics and for the emotions of those involved. It sucks that either of these women who care about things outside themselves are in any way at odds. They are made of the same stuff. The day can not come too fast.
It makes me seriously, hard core sad that this sort of thing is still not a part of the past, all of it, all the NOM flavored Prop 8 retro divide-o-rama.
