It's always seemed apparent to me that LGBT oppression was based in patriarchy and was related to misogyny too. The right-wing haters (and the not so right-wing...) are a common opponent. Forcing the smaller group of LGBT people to "go it alone" in their collective struggle would not be feminist, imo.
