...too many think we got our rights "overnight" or "in the blink of an eye" compared to others. What they fail to see is while it took other groups a long time, as they were getting their rights, we still didn't have ours. Of course, it is important to remember, it is still LEGAL to discriminate against GLBT in employment and housing in several states, so our rights are not total, nor are they secure, as many states are now introducing legislation to allow for more LEGAL discrimination.

The war is far from over. We should celebrate during Pride Month, but still be fully aware that not all our brothers and sisters in this country, much less much of the world, are still struggling and we must stand with them!
