Former SF Giant Aubrey Huff tweets homophobic rant in response to Pride hat controversy

“You know how I know what he (Buster Posey) wants to say? Because it’s exactly what I, & most every single player, coach & front office executive who were part of the SF Giants World Series dynasty teams that brought the city 3 World Series titles in 5 years would say. And say confidently into the camera…,” he continued. “‘I’m not wearing this gay bulls**t,'” he continued. “‘Queers don’t watch Baseball anyway. They watch The View, enjoy therapy,'” the tweet continued — again we are omitting some of the more offensive language. And anyone inside the LGBTQ community, or those who support them don’t like what I just said, then I say to you… Go f*** yourselves.”

Huff also tweeted a screenshot of a comment he apparently posted to a San Francisco Chronicle story about Posey refusing to address the controversy around four Giants players refusing to wear, or defacing, their Pride Night hats earlier this month.

“Are you that dumb to realize that Buster is from Georgia, and a good old boy with traditional Christian value? Of course he’s not going to comment on s**t that is not Baseball related …nor answer, unhinged, aggressive & quite honestly irrelevant questions that pertain to the sexual preference of mentally handicapped, sexually confused & always offended wastes of sperm that populate the LGBTQ community,” the comment read. “Not to mention having to get completely berated, disrespected, & unwilling to respect his wishes to talk about Baseball.”

“I know it’s San Francisco, and most of the population there are definitely into the gay lifestyle. However, that doesn’t mean they go to Giants games,” he added. “I don’t see how dedicating an entire month for a community of people who don’t attend baseball games anyway is even on the totem pole of issues a Baseball organization should address.”
