I met my husband at a funeral of a mutual friend who had died of AIDS in 1994. [View all]

I knew he existed prior to meeting him. Our friend, Tim, had spoken of him... but we never met until the "receiving line" of handshakes and hugs among mutual friends at the memorial service. I thought I'd never see him again... hello-goodbye... but our paths crossed again later on the next year.

Isn't strange how life works out? You just never know.

We've been together for over 30 years and married for 13 of those years.
