Indiana gay youth specialty license plate target again [View all]

INDIANAPOLIS — Opponents of a specialty license plate for a gay youth support group are now trying to void the group's contract with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Lawmakers had attempted to eliminate the Indiana Youth Group plate while also reining in the proliferation of specialty plates. Republicans tried Wednesday to revive legislation aimed at the plates, which earlier died in the House.

Some lawmakers were reluctant to cram through the bill today, the final day of the legislative session, particularly because it had not been approved earlier by either the House or Senate. But Senate President Pro Tempore David Long said another "solution" had been found: voiding the Indiana Youth Group plate.

Long said he thinks the Indiana Youth Group violated its state contract and that it should be canceled.

This is becoming beyond absurd. This is just another attempt to try to erase Gays from society. Anyone who can't see this along with the other "Don't say Gay bills", is a FUCKING IDIOT!
