For any of the states that want to make abuse a "family matter" that doesn't involve the authorities [View all]
moving backwards is no way to run a country. My mother was abused by my father who just so happened to be a cop. I'm in my forties, so it was back at a time when authority figures, mainly men, were content to punch around their wives (their property) and beat them into submission without much concern for any consequences. My militant father beat all of us kids too by the way. Here's a powerful anthem for women. There's no going back for women, no matter how many powerful men try to push it in that direction, no matter how many backwards laws they try to pass. All of a sudden, with Republicans in charge,it's been one attack after another on women. They attack women's health issues including but not limited to choice and contraception, they attack women's rights to be in combat and say it's ok for them to fly "smal"l planes, and one lunatic tells women to put an aspirin between their legs as a contraceptive measure. They all make me sick. Anyway, here's a powerful anthem for women. Written by two men and arranged by a man. Most of us love women.
