What I'd love to see is a class action lawsuit brought by taxpayers against their legislators for wasting taxpayer money on defending these unconstitutional laws. They know damn well that they will be challenged in court and some red states just do not have the budget to waste money defending this shit in court. If you ask me, it's dereliction of duty or fraud or something like that. They know damn well these laws will have to be defended in court at taxpayer expense. Meanwhile, roads don't get repaired, schools lose funding, state employee pensions are gutted, etc.
