and I have no problem with the girls, should they grow up and decide they want to forgive their brothers - that they are allowed to do so.

But they are still children and they need to feel safe and protected. IF they forgive, that's their journey. That the boys are back in the community (and back in the home? I assume they are home, and if not, in the small community).

That is not psychologically safe. And that girl gave birth. What will the Amish do? Marry her off as soon as possible? Hide her at home??

This result privileges the boys at the expense of the victims. The girls At THE VERY LEAST, they need to be sent away to a confined treatment facility. IMO
