29. I actually liked my dolls. Had quite

a collection of them, gave them all names, and had changes of clothes and a doll bed for them.

But I also liked some very active and sometimes rough physical play. My mother would brush my hair in the morning, which I loved, and put barretts and ribbons in it, which I thought were pretty. But by the time I came home at noon for lunch, the ribbons were lost somewhere andcthe barretts were skewed at odd angles, with my hair tangled up. Could not let looking nice get in the way of having a good time playing.
