I went to a commercial lab and had them draw blood to check my measles titer (and polio titer).* It's been 65 years since my measles inoculation and I wanted to see if I still possessed immunity decades later.

Fortunately both immunities still exist; but if they didn't, I was prepared to get booster shots.

Don't assume. Confirm.

* Antibody titer is a laboratory test that measures the level of antibodies in a blood sample.
