By the third season I was yelling at the tv...if I hadn't been recovering from surgery would not have lasted through the 4th season - which was pretty bad.

There was a lot of good parts of the show, like you say, good production values, and Sally Field can act circles around anyone. It's a credit to her how much I disliked her character. And loved that it had a gay guys story line.

Oh well, so much good, so muddled.
