http://www.amazon.com/New-Guinea-Tapeworms-Jewish-Grandmothers/dp/0393304264 was my introduction to parasitology many years ago and it's still in print, probably used as an ancillary text here and there. The style is breezy and conversational and it's a good read.

As to specific lung based parasites, I can't tell you much, there are quite a few of them. I do know that parasitology as a specialty is more prevalent in population centers where there is a lot of immigration and world travel.

Finding which parasite is responsible for your symptoms can often lead to a cure or at least a treatment. A stool sample was a great place to start.
