8. Grandma's Porkchops

She made these instead of the big turkey in the later years of her life. We welcomed them. And I still make them.
Smashed potatoes and also fried (in bacon grease) then creamed corn.

For the chops:


Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix
3-6-9 pork chops (thin or thick but works best with thin)
Melted Butter (a half stick will coat 3 chops)

1/3 bag stuffing mix in a gallon zip lock bag
Crush the stuffing mix up
Dip each chop in melted butter and then in the bag it goes. Shake or just cover and coat. No need to grease dish but foil is cool.

Bake @ 350/375 until your chops reach 165F
Usually 20-40 min. You are looking for golden toasty goodness and you will smell them and hear them sizzling.
