7. Dinner out at a Bosnian restaurant

My husband had roast veal, tender and delicious, served with a rice pilaf with mushroom and bell peppers. I had cevap, small sausages on lepinje, Bosnian flatbread that had been grilled. Our son had a burger with the same meat as in the cevap, also on a grilled lepinje. My son and I had Balkan salads, cabbage dressed with a vinaigrette, and my husband had chicken soup. My husband and I had raki, shots of distilled spirit, his herbal, mine quince. I'd been in a day-long food safety class, important but tedious, so it was relaxing to go out for a nice meal. Everything was tasty and well-presented, more European style.
