My father being military brought home the army green cans of food. Once he brought home a ton of butter it was like 100 packs
He also brought home the delicious government cheese.

I actually miss the awesome grilled govt .cheese sandwiches .

No cheese you can get now like Velveeta or Kraft singles can touch government cheese.

I will never forget when I dropped a huge can of army green peas on my toe. It must have been 5 pounds of peas in it.

I yelled so loud my father heard me over the planer machine in the basement shop.

My toe hurt so bad even a cotton top sheet touching it made me howl in pain.

I was glad he brought the food home because alot of it was quite tasty. Never will forget the dry canned walnuts.
