11. I know what you mean. Albertson's took over a local Scolari's ~ 4 months ago. It stood empty.

They've refurbished and remodeled the whole store. A big plus to have a full service market again on my end of town. Walking distance and on the city bus route. That's the plus long term.

"Grand Opening" is at 10 AM tomorrow, though. Big hoopla, prizes, free stuff, samples, etc. It'll be mobbed. Read the fine print on their mailer and the store's actually opening at 6 AM - the standard weekday time. So, I'm going to get in and out by 7 AM. I know what I'm buying up front - it'll be a 20 minute trip at the most.

Have been in Costco once. A little overwhelming. Made my first visit to a Walmart on my TX trip. Needed a pair of pants to go out to eat. Same deal. Bizarre, enormous store. Got a pair of pants though, then had to get out.
