(53,661 posts)14. I have a very modern kitchen, emphasis on black and stainless steel.
The major appliances are black and stainless steel. It has faux granite black/almond color counters, almond walls and IKEA birch cabinetry with stainless pulls. And the floor matches the cabinets. My counter appliances are black, stainless or chrome or combinations. My dishes, cups and tea pot are black as well.
The stainless sink has chrome controls and is set at an angle, forming a triangle in a corner and is more decorative than useful. I got a lamp with a stainless base and stem and a white linen shade. The only other color is the dark green pots for a fern and a fuchsia plant on eacb side of the lamp behind the sink.

Yes, they are remarkably sturdy. Although I didn't install them. Solid wood is always better, though
