It's so dramatic with the white cabinetry and eye-catching. It's very pretty.
I have light pine cabinets that I want to paint a deep cinnamon color for some contrast and drama. I tiled the countertop and backsplash with bone 4 X 4s. I used a few hand painted tiles with herbs in clay pots on the backsplash to add interest and some color. Last year we installed a mottled cream colored porcelain 12 X 12 tile floor and added a black glass counter top stove and stainless fridge to bring our 60s home into the 21st century. I tend to go for warmer colors.

Yes, they are remarkably sturdy. Although I didn't install them. Solid wood is always better, though
