Chicken livers gave me a high once. I had been a vegetarian for years, and had not observed the rules of vegetarianism very well. I was iron deficient. When my doc told me to have some chicken livers, I said OK! Had chicken livers, tomato sauce, and pasta. I'll never forget the rush I got--I was euphoric!

So yes--iron rich they are.
