My mom (81 years old and doesn't cook anymore - lives with my brother who takes care of her) bought one last year at the hefty price of $450. It's unpacked and on the kitchen counter, but hasn't been used even once. SMH. Just grateful that she has the money to afford doing that kind of thing.
