11. We went out to eat in NYC

We met one of my finest and oldest friends for dinner last night and we went to The Landmarc in the Time Warner Building in Columbus Circle.

It was fantastic! They've resisted the current trend of noisy spaces and the views of the Circle and Central Park were terrific. The Landlady(!) had their Mediterranean salad and the braised lamb shank. I had the escargots and the skirt steak. My friend had the kale Caesar (gag me) and the orecchiette all norcina. Everything was superb, (except the kale although my friend finished it). Loved the place and I'd recommend it with this caveat: I picked up the check and I'm happy that it can be classified as a business expense.
