1. That's pretty funny

Non-programmer here. My main error when cooking is making my way through a recipe - dice onion, slice carrot, mince garlic - only to discover about 2/3 of the way through that I forgot to buy the chicken. Or wondering whether rosemary would be a decent enough substitute for thyme. You get the idea.

I'm usually pretty good about these things, but after 40+ years of cooking for myself and my family I'm still making unforced errors.
