7. proud of a turnip

Yesterday the RG came home from a market with a turnip. He was so proud of his find. Asked me if I thought it was beautiful and I said, well sorta'. Then he peeled off a part and asked me to sniff it. It was definitely fresh; I was then impressed.

He knows I love them (rutabagas, too), and he said he was going to make potato-turnip base with a soft-boiled egg on top. Sausage on the side. It is delicious! Quite the heart-warming winter breakfast.

He dreams up something new for every meal.
