Tomato juice works, vinegar, etc. My dog was skunked at 3 AM and I went to the store right away. The next day when I was at work (my last day too) and opened my purse and the smell came out and everyone smelled it. It smelled like burnt pink erasers and garlic...yuk!

The smell will continue to come back for a long time, when ever the dog gets damp/wet.
