Gawd save me from this dramatic cat! [View all]

We’ve been out of dry food for two days so I’ve been feeding the kids all canned. They usually only get canned maybe a 3 times a week as a special treat, one can split between the two of them. Needless to say, they’ve been pretty darn happy the past two days.

This afternoon we only had one can left, which they had for lunch. Before leaving for work at 1:00, I split a can of tuna into their dishes to tide them over (short shift today, planned to buy a bag of food on the way home... and I’d feel guilty knowing they had nothing to snack on).

As soon as I walked in the door, I opened the bag and filled the dry food dish. Leo, who was apparently starving and mere seconds from certain death (as always ) took a huge mouthful, stopped, looked me dead in the eyes, and then literally spit the food out across the floor.

Ever since, he’s been stalking me around the house and giving me the stink eye. Actually, he’s alternating the stink eye with the pitiful woe-is-me face.

He’s sneaking into the kitchen when he thinks I am not paying attention. If I walk in the kitchen while he’s “secretly” snarfing the food, he’ll spit it out and walk away.

Pooper, on the other hand, is a sweet little appreciative joy, as always. She’s just happy I am home from work.
