9. I bought a Drinkwell

One of our cats has FIC (Feline Idiopathic Cystitis) so we needed to get her to drink more water. I would say it took awhile for me to see her drink from the fountain most of the other cats took to it right away.

I still keep bowls of water out for whomever prefers it that way. I can't remember the last time I've seen a cat drink from them though.

I clean out the Drinkwell once a week. And I add filtered water to it throughout the day. Once in awhile I have to clear out some fur from the intake nozzle. I set the Drinkwell on a place mat that has a cloth towel wrapped around it for spills.

The worst part of a Drinkwell is trying to get the electric motor out to clean it. It was designed to be removed by teeny tiny fingers.

I think you should keep it. And like the other Poster said, play with the water to get them interested at first.
