My dog (a boxer mix) and the neighbor dog (a young Belgian Terveuren) busted out of the back gate and ran through the neighborhood. It took an hour or more until we found them. Two cars, kids on bicycles and on foot patrolling the area. Since there are some busy streets around here, we were frantically worried.

I actually thought my dog wouldn't escape because in the past when the downstairs neighbor's dog busted out, mine hung around. She'll follow me without my having to hold the leash and obeys really well. I guess the lure of a run through the neighborhood with her pal was too tempting to avoid. Both are safe and sound now, but they had us worried.
