The good news is that at least they're using glass and not plastic which looks crummy instantly no matter how artistically it's assembled. I remember riding up the exterior escalators at the Beaubourg back when you didn't need to buy a ticket and thinking how great the views would have been if they hadn't enclosed them in plexiglass which at that point was practically opaque.



On the other hand glass can get crummy pretty fast too in which case I wouldn't expect this particular innovation to last very long . . .
