4. If it was set up as a retirement benefit pensioned payment then there is no recourse.

My mother had the same type of retirement annuity from an old job and it was set up to pay a monthly amount until death.

Afterwards, they were not contacted by the trustee (my brother) and kept paying into the account I inherited. Once I discovered the problem and contacted the annuity company, they took back all over payments. I had no legal say in the matter.

I wish there was better news.
