59. Unfortunately, guns abound in the US

Instruction on gun safety for kids is not about learning how to shoot a gun. It is about what a child should do when he/she encounters one. Like do not touch it and distance yourself from it. Report it to law enforcement, keep smaller children from touching it etc..
Teaching kids to use guns is for parents to decide, not schools.
