(1,098 posts)49. There's no need to repeal the Second Amendment...
...because contrary to what some political partisans on the Supreme Court think, the Second Amendment only applies to the "well regulated militias" that was meant repeal any possible further attacks by Great Britain when the US was in its infancy.
While we wait on the courts to begin interpreting the Second Amendment correctly, there are other things we can do to tighten the grip on gun owners and gun ownership. The day will come when firearms will thankfully no longer be part of our society, beyond the military and police.
