and would be struck down as violating the 10A.
There is no such federal law covering drivers licenses or professional licences.
Calling it "irresponsible" is absurd since CCW holders are statistically safer and more responsible than cops.
I don't see the concept as a bad thing, but why should Texas, with its stringent training standards, have to accept New York permits whose only standards are having political connections or being rich? New York can't even keep current records. When NYC CCW holders were made public last year, Eleanor Roosevelt's carry permit was still listed as current even though she died in 1962.
