$10k reward offered in gun theft case [View all]

HICKORY – A $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who gives law enforcement officials information that leads to the conviction of those responsible for stealing multiple firearms from Precision Sports in Hickory on Monday, according to a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Charlotte Field Division news release.

Precision Sports co-owner Willard Jacobs received a call from the store’s alarm system regarding a break-in at approximately 4 a.m. Monday.

He rushed to the store on Hickory Boulevard and discovered that the front door of his store had been shattered by a vehicle.

The Hickory Police Department determined that the thieves backed into the store with a 1990s model Honda Accord and then stole the guns from glass cases in the store.
