Which translates to: Since our cops are unarmed, unfamiliar with and unable to engage in armed conflict, they may call for the armed caps who, not being used to seeing someone OC a BB gun, might shoot and kill that person.

Have the Brits started attending American police training?
Is there some new excessive force competition?

On the plus side Detective Clayman's display of erudition and use of low key terminology is rather, well, British.
